Applying for Social Security benefits can be an intimidating and complicated process. We are here to help.

SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY INSURANCE (SSDI)

If you have earned the required amount of work credits and are no longer able to work due to a medical condition (physical or mental), you may be entitled to SSDI benefits. In order to qualify, your medical condition must be expected to last at least twelve (12) months. In addition to evaluating your medical condition, the Social Security Administration takes into consideration your age, education, training and work experience in order to determine whether you are totally disabled from gainful employment. If you qualify for SSDI benefits, you will receive the same entitlement as if you were to retire at age 65.

If you are denied Social Security benefits, you can file a request for Reconsideration. In the event that you are denied benefits at the Reconsideration level, you can request a Hearing before an Administrative Law Judge. It is important that you contact us before the time period to file an appeal expires. We can assist with the preparation and presentation of your case at all stages – the initial application, reconsideration or appeal.
